About Me
My name is Cal, I am a 15-year-old digital artist in Iowa and a junior in high school. I began getting more serious about art in 2018, where I would explore different forms of media but settled on digital art as my primary focus. Since then, I have been working on improving my skills in overall character design. In some of my more scenery-focused drawings, I concentrate on how the lighting may affect the mood of the overall piece. In contrast, in my more character-focused pieces I experiment with how different colors work together to develop a character's personality.
Future Plans With Art
I plan to pursue art in my future carrer and become a Concept Artist for the film and gaming industry. One of my favorite things to experiment with in art is translating a written description of a character into an image. Alongside that, I am also interested in becoming a Tattoo Artist. I love being able to share my artwork with others as well as being able to use people's ideas and express them in my style.
Accolades
In the spring of 2023 I was awarded the 'Excellence in Arts' award from The Gazette for a collection of my digital art pieces.
